Debasis Chakrabarty

Debasis Chakrabarty is a seasoned professional with extensive experience in transportation engineering and project management. Currently serving as General Manager and SBU Head for Roads & Highway at Assystem STUP since August 2022, Debasis oversees various projects in highways and transport planning across India, Bangladesh, and Africa. Previous roles include Director of Operations at GEODATA S.p.a., where responsibilities included project budget control and profitability analysis, and Associate Director at AECOM, leading highways and aviation projects with a focus on design and business development. Other notable positions include Sector Manager for Transportation at SMEC, where project management was emphasized, and Transportation Engineer at Dar Al-Handasah in the Middle East. Debasis holds a BE in Civil and Structural Engineering from Annamalai University, a Master’s in Civil Engineering from Karnataka State Open University, and has completed additional qualifications in Road Safety and Transport Economics and Management.
