Senior Infrastructure Engineer at The AST Group

Andy Eversden has a diverse work experience spanning over several decades. Andy began their career in 1996 as a PC - Server Support Engineer at Holistic Systems. Andy then moved on to Seagate Software, where they worked as a Systems Administrator, focusing on the design and deployment of VMware test and pre-production environments, as well as administration and support for Microsoft Windows Active Directory and Exchange.

In 2001, Andy joined Crystal Decisions as a Senior Systems Administrator, and in 2003, they transitioned to a similar role at Business Objects. Andy worked in these positions until 2008.

From 2008 to 2014, Andy worked at SAP in various roles. Andy first served as a Senior Administrator and Global Virtualization Team Lead, and then as a Senior Technology Lead in the Global IT - Cloud Management department.

In 2015, Andy joined Capita Group as a Level 4 Engineering Senior Consultant. Andy'sresponsibilities included providing third-level support to customers in various sectors and leading the design and implementation of a VMware production landscape for a financial institute.

Following their time at Capita Group, Andy worked at Silicon Valley Bank as a Principal Infrastructure Engineer. Here, they provided guidance on IT platform integrity, engineering design standards, deployment planning, and execution. Andy also played a key role in advising senior management on infrastructure engineering decisions.

Since November 2017, Andy has been employed at Support and guidance for Cloud solutions and Infrastructure services, where they hold the role of Principal Infrastructure Engineer. In this capacity, they architect and develops cloud solutions and services, with a specific focus on the Service Provider markets. Andy utilizes their extensive hands-on knowledge of AWS, Azure, and VMware product offerings.

Most recently, in January 2022, Andy joined Applied Satellite Technology Ltd as a Senior Infrastructure Engineer.

Andy Eversden studied at the London College of Technology from 1983 to 1987, where they pursued a degree in Mechanical Engineering.
