Sean Nyffeler is a Senior Controls Engineer at Automated Systems of Tacoma (AST) since June 2019, with previous experience as a Field Services Engineer S.P.E.I. at Tideworks Technology and a Service Technician at Defiance Bicycles. An early career as an Assistant Manager at Old Town Bicycle and a Signal Engineer at Progress Rail Services contributed to a solid foundation in engineering. Expertise includes designing circuit plans for railway control points, independently writing and testing software, managing the design and fabrication of Local Control Panels, and consulting with clients to ensure compliance with operational requirements and Federal Railroad Administration regulations. Sean Nyffeler holds a Bachelor of Engineering in Electrical Engineering from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln, completed in 2009.
