John Armitage

John Armitage is an experienced professional in the semiconductor and electronics design industry, currently serving as Senior Director & GM Scotland at AST SpaceMobile since May 2022. Previously, John held various roles at Dialog Semiconductor from 2008 to 2022, including Engineering Director for Digital and Applications, Digital Group Manager, and Principal Digital Engineer, focusing on custom mixed signal audio and power management ICs. John's earlier experience includes contracting with Quicksurf Ltd, primarily for the integration and verification of large-scale CPU and DSP SoC designs, and a Senior IC Design Engineer role at Cadence Design Systems, where responsibilities included RTL coding and SoC integration. John Armitage obtained a Master's degree in Electronics and Physics from the University of Glasgow between 1993 and 1998.
