Takao Hino

Takao Hino is a seasoned engineer specializing in solar array systems, currently serving as the Principal Power System Engineer for Solar Array at AST SpaceMobile since November 2022. With extensive experience across various roles, Takao has previously worked as an External Product Engineer at Maxar Technologies and as a Solar Array Specialist at OneWeb Satellites, where responsibilities included designing high-volume solar arrays and automating test processes. Takao's foundational experience includes significant contributions at SSL in solar array development and manufacturing engineering, as well as program management and design engineering roles at Mitsubishi Electric, where notable achievements included capturing the world's leading market share for solar array panels in commercial communication satellites. Takao holds a Bachelor's degree in Aerospace, Aeronautical and Astronautical/Space Engineering from the Tokyo Metropolitan Institute of Technology.
