Tharanga Pathirana, B.Sc.QS (Hons), MRICS, AIQSSL, is a seasoned professional in quantity surveying with a robust career spanning over 18 years. Currently serving as Cost Control Manager at ASTAD PROJECT MANAGEMENT since May 2014, responsibilities include overseeing the financial aspects of the Research & Development Complex in Education City, Doha, Qatar. Previous roles include Senior Quantity Surveyor at EDF, managing multiple 132/11 kV substations in Dubai, and Senior Quantity Surveyor at ACCESS Engineering Consultancy, contributing to significant projects such as Dubai Sport City and Al Furjan. Early career experience includes work as a Project Quantity Surveyor at Nakheel for the Dubai Waterfront Project and as a Quantity Surveyor on the Palm Jumeirah Project. Tharanga Pathirana holds a Bachelor of Science in Quantity Surveying from the University of Moratuwa, completed in 2004.
