Jovin Low

Engineering Manager at Institute of Microelectronics

Jovin Low has extensive experience in the semiconductor industry. Jovin started their career at Hitachi Semiconductor (S) Pte Ltd as a Thin Film Senior Process Engineer, where they led major projects and implemented automatic process control systems. Jovin also collaborated with engineers from other departments to troubleshoot equipment and address production issues.

After that, Jovin joined GLOBALFOUNDRIES as a Process Section Manager, where they managed a team of engineers and technicians in process control and development for the conversion from IDM to foundry business. Jovin also participated in inter-module process steps development and qualification.

Following their time at GLOBALFOUNDRIES, Jovin moved to SunEdison Semiconductor, where they held two roles. First, as the Wafering & EPI Technical Board Manager, they led corporate technical boards and established inter-sites collaboration for process optimization and new supplier qualifications. Then, as the Process Integration Manager, they started a new department and focused on New Product Introduction, transfers, and Specification Management.

Jovin later joined the National University of Singapore as a Senior Scientific Officer, where they worked until 2017.

Most recently, they worked at the Institute of Microelectronics as the Engineering Manager. In this role, they led a team in a spin-off start-up entity and was responsible for system set-up, recruitment, and formation of the engineering and operations teams. Jovin also conceptualized and designed the MES system to transition the company to small volume production.

Throughout their career, Jovin has demonstrated expertise in process control, optimization, and collaboration with cross-functional teams.

Jovin Low attended Nanyang Technological University in Singapore from 1996 to 2000, where they pursued a Bachelor of Engineering degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering. During their time at the university, they also specialized in the field of Microelectronics.
