Leong Yew Wing

Leong Yew Wing has a diverse work experience spanning several companies and roles in the engineering field.

Starting in 1995, Leong worked as a Senior Engineering Assistant at MAXTOR PERIPHERALS (S) PTE LTD. In this role, they were responsible for various engineering tasks.

In 1998, Leong joined Nanyang Technological University as a Laboratory Technician. Leong was in charge of process setup, equipment maintenance, and safety training.

Leong then moved on to work at the Institute of Microelectronics in 2000 as a Research Officer. In this role, they focused on etching process development and optimization, as well as equipment buyoffs and qualifications.

From 2005 to 2012, Leong held various positions at ST Microelectronics. Leong started as a Senior Process Engineer, where they were responsible for process setup and optimization. Later, they became a Senior Device Engineer, overseeing customer product yield and coordinating different function groups.

Returning to the Institute of Microelectronics in 2012, Leong worked as a Senior Research Engineer. Leong was involved in the fabrication and packaging of MEMS, nanophotonic, and IVR devices. Leong also contributed to process development for different types of thin-film deposition.

In 2018, Leong joined RF360 Pte Ltd as a Senior Process Engineer. Leong'sresponsibilities included wet etch process setup and optimization, as well as increasing process capacity and production throughput.

Finally, in 2019, Leong returned to the Institute of Microelectronics as a Senior Research Engineer III. Details regarding their current role are not provided, but it can be inferred that they continue to contribute to the institute's research projects.

Leong Yew Wing pursued a Master's degree in Data Analytics from Nanyang Technological University Singapore between 2019 and 2020. Prior to that, Leong Yew Wing completed a Bachelor's degree in Microelectronics from the National University of Singapore.
