Project Engineer at Astec Industries

Curtis Metz has a diverse work experience spanning several decades. CURTIS began their career in 1974 at Oak Ridge National Laboratory, where they worked as an Engineer and Principal Investigator. During their time there, they were responsible for developing and testing prototype equipment for radiological hot cells. In 2000, they joined Bechtel Jacobs as a Project Engineer, where they worked on enhancing the Human Machine Interface (HMI) for the TSCA Incinerator. After that, they worked at Doerfer Corporation as a Sr. Project Engineer, where they were in charge of designing, fabricating, and testing equipment for customers. In 2014, Curtis joined Heatec, Inc. and later transferred to ASTEC, both as a Project Engineer. In these roles, they were responsible for engineering projects related to heaters, tanks, and other products for various industries. Curtis is currently seeking employment.

Curtis Metz received their high school diploma from A C Flora High School in Columbia, SC from 1965 to 1968. CURTIS then went on to attend the University of Tennessee, Knoxville, where they obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering from 1975 to 1983. Curtis also holds several certifications as a Registered Professional Engineer from various states. CURTIS received this certification from the State of Tennessee in April 1987, from the State of Kentucky in June 2011, and from the State of Michigan in February 2013.
