Yumiko Watanabe

Yumiko Watanabe is a seasoned legal professional with extensive experience in employment law and litigation, currently serving as Director and Legal Employment and Litigation Lead for Japan and Greater China at Astellas Pharma since April 2022. Prior to this role, Yumiko held the position of Head of Legal and Compliance at VisasQ from November 2019 to March 2022, and served as Manager of Legal & Governance at Shiseido from October 2017 to October 2019. Preceding these positions, Yumiko worked as Legal Director at Baxalta and held senior legal roles at Baxter International Inc. and MSD. Educational credentials include a Master of Laws (LLM) from the University of Virginia School of Law and a Bachelor of Laws (LLB) from The University of Tokyo, complemented by studies at Fujuba High School.
