Matt Behrens

Matt Behrens is currently an SRE at Astera Institute since August 2024, with prior experience as a Recurser at Recurse Center from January to March 2024. Behrens held the position of Infrastructure Engineer at Render from September 2022 to November 2023 and served as Lead SRE at Pathlight from June 2021 to August 2022. At Yelp, a tenure from September 2011 to June 2021 included roles such as Engineering Manager for the Compute Infrastructure team, SRE for the Production Observability team, Lead Engineer for the Biz Multiloc team, and Full Stack Engineer across several teams, including the early-stage SeatMe startup that was acquired by Yelp in 2013. Early career roles included Software Engineer at ShowClix, Inc. from May 2010 to July 2011 and Software Development Intern at Laszlo Systems in 2008.
