John R. Withers

John R. Withers has a diverse work experience spanning over several years. John R. is currently serving as the Director of Product Management at Astera Labs since November 2022. Prior to that, John worked at Intel Corporation, where they held various roles. John R. served as the Director of Product Management from October 2021 to October 2022. From July 2019 to September 2021, they were the Founder & Manager of the China Optane Center of Excellence in the Data Platforms Group. Additionally, they participated in the Accelerated Leadership Program Associate from July 2017 to June 2019. Before joining Intel Corporation, John briefly worked as a Product Manager in the New Business Initiatives Group. Furthermore, they gained valuable experience at J.P. Morgan, where they held roles such as Vice President of International Product Development from April 2014 to April 2015, Associate of Project Management from May 2012 to March 2014, and Rotational Analyst in the Project Management department from August 2010 to April 2012. Early in their career, they worked as a Teaching Assistant and Research Assistant at Williams College. John also interned at the Industrial and Commercial Bank of China, where they conducted research for the development of investment banking services. John R. Withers has an extensive education history. John R. graduated from St. Pauls School in 2006 with an A-Level degree, featuring outstanding grades in Maths, Further Maths, Physics, and Italian. In 2008, they spent some time at Associated Colleges in China (ACC), focusing on Mandarin studies. Later in the same year, they participated in the Princeton in Beijing (PiB) program at Princeton University to further enhance their Mandarin skills. Withers then pursued their undergraduate education at Williams College, where they obtained a Bachelor of Arts magna cum laude, Phi Beta Kappa (ΦΒΚ) in Economics and Chinese in 2010. Moving forward, they joined The Lauder Institute at the University of Pennsylvania in 2015 for their master's degree, specializing in International Studies. Concurrently, Withers also attended The Wharton School from 2015 to 2017, where they achieved a Master of Business Administration (M.B.A.) with Honors.
