Melvin C. is an accomplished technology professional with extensive experience in artificial intelligence, research and development, and cloud infrastructure. Currently serving as an AI Systems Fellow at Astera Labs since December 2025, Melvin previously worked as a Research and Development Scientist at Synopsys Inc for over seven years, where co-invented and implemented VSO.ai and DPO, achieving significant cost reductions and increased coverage in regression testing. As CTO and Co-Founder of 1APP, Melvin architected OneOS and designed scalable cloud infrastructure. Melvin has also contributed as a consultant at Varian, developing semantic search capabilities in medical databases, and directed research development at Synopsys, enhancing various compiler features and simulator performance. Melvin's educational background includes a Master of Science in Computer Science from the University of Arizona and a Bachelor of Engineering in Computer Engineering from Goa Engineering College.
