Michel Werts

Michel Werts is a skilled engineer with extensive experience in process engineering and product development. Currently serving as a Senior NPI Engineer at Astera Labs since July 2025, Michel has held various roles within TMC since February 2014, including Senior Process Engineer and Consultant in Nanotechnology. Previous positions include Senior Process Engineer roles at Oerlikon Eldim and Neways Micro Electronics, focusing on yield improvement and root cause analysis, as well as Technical Lead Process Development at Philips Healthcare, facilitating process transfers from development to production. With a background in process development for optical systems at Anteryon and materials development at OLED Technologies, Michel's expertise is bolstered by a Master of Science degree in Polymer Chemistry from the University of Groningen.
