Vilvakumar Sundaramoorthy

Vilvakumar Sundaramoorthy is currently working as a Principal Field Applications Engineer at Astera Labs since March 2022. Prior to Astera Labs, they founded and invested in VilvaTech in 2018, where they focused on entrepreneurship and making technology more accessible and affordable for people. From 2020 to 2022, Vilvakumar was a Storage Systems Engineer at ZT Systems. Before that, they worked at Dell from 2016 to 2020, initially as a Storage Development Senior Engineer and later as a Software Principal Engineer. Vilvakumar'sresponsibilities at Dell included integrating Storage RAID controllers with Dell Precision Workstations. From 2007 to 2016, Vilvakumar held various roles at LSI, an Avago Technologies Company, including Systems Applications Engineer - Staff and Systems Applications Engineer - Senior. During their time at LSI, they resolved complex issues related to high availability systems, IO virtualization, and software-defined storage. Vilvakumar also worked at HCL Technologies from 2004 to 2007 as a Member Technical Staff, focusing on ASIC verification and coding test-benches and test cases. Vilvakumar Sundaramoorthy pursued their education in a chronological manner. Vilvakumar began their academic journey in 2000 and completed it in 2004 at the National Institute of Technology, Tiruchirappalli, where they obtained a Bachelor's degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering (B.Tech). Afterward, they pursued a Master's degree in Microelectronics at the Birla Institute of Technology and Science, Pilani, from 2008 to 2010.

In addition to their formal education, Vilvakumar Sundaramoorthy has obtained several certifications. In December 2019, they acquired the certification for "Working with Difficult People" from LinkedIn. In May 2020, they completed the certifications for "Getting Things Done," "Lean Foundations," and "Professional Networking" from the same platform.
