Bill Prather has extensive experience in the field of learning and training development. Bill most recently served as the Senior Director of Learning Design and Distance Services at the Association of State and Territorial Health Officials (ASTHO). In this role, they led the design and execution of a curriculum for professional development, collaborated with stakeholders to develop innovative learning solutions, and managed a team of learning designers and program managers. Prior to that, Bill was the Director of Training and Learning at ASTHO, where they provided guidance and oversight for instructional materials and distance education learning events. Before joining ASTHO, Bill worked as the Manager of Training at the American Psychological Association, where they developed and managed training opportunities and served as a liaison for the Office of Program Consultation and Accreditation. Bill also gained experience in education and learning coordination at SmithBucklin, where they assisted with the development and execution of educational strategies and plans. Bill's career started as the Career and Technology Education Chair at Charles County Public Schools, where they planned and coordinated the implementation of career and technology education programs.
Bill Prather completed a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Education at the University of Maryland Eastern Shore from 2006 to 2010. Bill then pursued a Master's degree in Curriculum and Instruction at McDaniel College from 2011 to 2014.
