Agustín Tapia Quesada

Agustín Tapia Quesada has a diverse work experience spanning over several years. Agustín started their career at Indra in 1997 as a Programador and later worked at TIC ULPGC as a Director Técnico from 2005 to 2008. Agustín also worked as an Analista at Gobierno de Canarias from 2003 to 2005. In 1999, they worked at Open Canarias SL as a Técnico de Sistemas y Comunicaciones para el Servicio Canario de Salud, and later joined Consulting y Desarrollos Informáticos S.C. as a Profesor IBM AS/400. Agustín also worked as a Profesor Formación Profesional Informática at C.N.P. España.

In 2008, Agustín started working at Open Canarias SL as a Responsable de Área de Desarrollo, a position they held until 2018. Agustín then joined ASTICAN, where they served as an IT Manager from September 2018 to December 2023. Currently, Agustín holds the position of Director Corporativo de TI / Corporate Chief IT Officer at ASTICAN since January 2024.

Agustín Tapia Quesada has a diverse education history. In 1989 to 1996, they obtained a degree in Informatics from the Universidad de Las Palmas de Gran Canaria. In 2007 to 2008, they pursued further studies at the Universidad de La Laguna and completed an Expert University program in Software Engineering. From 2020 to 2021, they attended the Escuela de Organización Industrial and obtained an Executive Program in Big Data & Business Analytics. In 2021, Agustín completed another executive program at the same institution, specializing in the "Internet of Things" (IoT). Additionally, they hold certifications in Project Management with Agile Methodologies and Lean Approaches, obtained in 2017 from Miríada X, and a Certificate of Honor from edX for the course "Android: Introduction to Programming." Agustín is also enrolled in a Data Strategy 4 Business program at the Instituto de Desarrollo Directivo del Atlántico starting in 2023.
