Rita V. is the CEO and Senior Technology Strategist of New Stone Soup VT LLC, a woman minority-owned small business specializing in strategic government, industry, and academic partnerships, project development, and business consulting since 2011. Rita is also a founding partner of the ASTM Exoskeleton Technology Center of Excellence and a member of the ASTM F48 Committee, which focuses on developing standards for exoskeletons and exosuits. With experience in business operations at B-Temia, Rita has directed multimillion-dollar research projects at the US Army Natick Soldier Research, Development, and Engineering Center and has worked as an ESL instructor and high school teacher. Educational achievements include PhD coursework at Northeastern University, an MPA from Framingham State University, and a degree in Comparative Literature from the University of Puerto Rico.
