Ali James

Ali James is an accomplished physiotherapist with extensive experience in sports medicine, currently serving as the Head Physiotherapist for the Men’s 1st team at Aston Villa Football Club since November 2022. Ali has been an RFU Immediate Care In Sport Tutor and Consultant Physiotherapist for the Rugby Football Union since November 2014, providing care for the England Senior XV during high-profile matches and training camps. Prior to this, Ali held the position of Head of Physiotherapy at Wasps Rugby from December 2012 to October 2022, and contributed as a Senior Physiotherapist at TOPS Physio Yoga and Pilates from July 2014 to March 2017. Ali's earlier roles include Senior Physiotherapist at Premier Physical Healthcare and Head of Physiotherapy for Oxford University Rugby Football Club. Educational qualifications include an MSc in Science and Medicine of Athletic Performance from the University of Oxford, a BSc (Hons) in Physiotherapy from the University of the West of England, and a PGDip in Manual Therapy from Coventry University.
