James Mallett

James Mallett is an experienced sports scientist currently working as an Academy Sports Scientist at Aston Villa Football Club since January 2023. Previously, James held positions at Hull City, serving as the Academy Physical Performance Coach and Intern Academy Analyst, where responsibilities included producing detailed reports on player performance, recording training footage, and leading athletic development sessions for youth players. James also interned as a Sports Science Intern, focusing on athletic development and rehabilitation for youth soccer players. Earlier in career, James coached at Hull City Ladies FC, providing camps and physical education sessions for young children. Academic qualifications include a Research Masters in Sports, Health and Exercise Science and a Bachelor of Science in Sports and Exercise Nutrition, both from the University of Hull.
