Bryce Richards

Bryce Richards is a software engineer who has been working in the field for three years. Bryce started their career at Astra, where they worked for a year as a software engineer. Bryce then moved to Walt Disney Direct-to-Consumer & International, where they worked for 1 year and 2 months as a software engineer. After that, they became a consultant at AScorpi GmbH, where they worked for 2 years and 9 months. Bryce was responsible for translating business requirements into viable SAPUI5 applications, maintaining consistent version control in Git repositories, developing OData models for front-end consumption, designing user interfaces in Sketch app and SAP Build, planning user workflow designs, debugging applications with Chrome debugging tools and SAP GUI debugger, designing and distributing user acceptance testing documentation, producing and maintaining technical design specification documentation for projects, following SAPUI5 and JavaScript best practices for most efficient code implementation, keeping up-to-date with latest developments in SAP and web development technology, and managing moving of transports and required cutover steps for all systems (Dev, QA, Prod). Bryce then left to work at Lionsgate as a consultant, director, legal rights manager, and coordinator for 5 years and 5 months. Bryce was responsible for overseeing the data conversion of the Stark acquisition between rights management systems, validating mapping of legal rights for library acquisitions, interpreting legal documents for data rights entry, being responsible for data entry and validation of all international sales contracts, spearheading the redesign of the front-end deal memo application, designing and implementing user acceptance testing for system upgrades and break fixes, and building custom reports in SQL and BW to meet demands of departments throughout the company. Bryce is now a full stack developer - DOT active transportation planner at the Los Angeles Department of Transportation.

Bryce Richards attended UCLA Extension's Full-Stack Web Development Program from 2016-2017. Prior to that, they attended Emerson College and earned their B.A in Visual & Media Arts with a focus in Film Production. Bryce has also completed several courses from Code School on various aspects of front-end web development, including Express.js, ES2015, and JavaScript Best Practices.
