Amanda Durk Frye

Amanda Durk Frye is an accomplished aerospace professional currently serving as the Director of Launch System Production at Astra since March 2021, overseeing the production teams responsible for the Astra Launch System. Prior to this role, Amanda held various positions at Parker Aerospace, including Engineering Test Laboratory Manager, where leadership extended to a diverse team ensuring FAA safety compliance for critical aerospace components. Additionally, Amanda has spearheaded initiatives focused on diversity and inclusion, notably as the Mentoring Circles Team Leader, and co-chaired the Peer W Business Resource Group. Amanda began her career in aerospace engineering with a focus on experimental combustion research and has a strong educational background with dual degrees in Aerospace and Mechanical Engineering from Case Western Reserve University and an MBA from Penn State University.
