Gregory Danielson

Gregory Danielson is an accomplished mechanical engineer with extensive experience in aerospace and mechanical design. Currently serving as the Upper Stage Tech Lead and Senior Mechanical Engineer at Astra since October 2021, Gregory is responsible for the upper stage of the Rocket 4 launch vehicle, overseeing system architecture and design, and presenting successful outcomes to the Space Force. Prior experience includes a Principal Mechanical Engineer role at Northrop Grumman, where Gregory developed precision optical assemblies and led product development initiatives, and an Associate Engineer position at SpaceX, focusing on satellite component design. Gregory holds a Master’s and Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign.
