Colin Hegarty

Colin Hegarty is an experienced propulsion engineer currently working at Astranis since March 2021. Previous roles include an associate engineer in vehicle engineering at SpaceX, where Colin designed bulkhead components and plumbing systems, and contributed to vibration testing of pumps. Colin also served as a designer and safety lead with the Micro-gravity Project Team, prototyping various aerospace tools, and was involved in mechanical engineering internships at HyperSciences, Emerson Automation Solutions, and Cornell University College of Engineering, where skills in design, testing, and project management were developed. Colin Hegarty holds a Master of Engineering in Aerospace Engineering and a Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering, both from Cornell University.
