Anja Will

Anja Will is an experienced professional in the fields of translational science, drug discovery, and genetic engineering. Currently serving as the Translation Science and Medicine Lead for Respiratory & Immunology at AstraZeneca since January 2019, Anja has developed strong evidence for precision medicine strategies and closely collaborated with multiple departments including competitive intelligence and regulatory affairs. Prior to this role, Anja worked as a Senior Research Scientist, driving various drug discovery projects using advanced genome engineering technologies. Anja's academic background includes a PhD in Human/Medical Genetics from Freie Universität Berlin and a Master of Science in Molecular Bioengineering from Technische Universität Dresden. Earlier research roles include postdoctoral work at Helmholtz Zentrum München and various assistant positions focused on gene therapy and molecular genetics.
