Caroline Austin

Caroline Austin is the Vice President and Head of Transactions in Business Development at AstraZeneca, where they lead a team specializing in negotiation and execution of transactions across multiple disease areas. With a career spanning over 24 years at AstraZeneca, they have transitioned from a bioscientist to various business development roles, including significant projects such as collaborations with Merck and Almirall, and overseeing the acquisition of various portfolios. Caroline is also a Non-Executive Director at Qureight and has held research positions at prestigious institutions such as Johns Hopkins School of Medicine. They earned a BSc and MSc from King’s College London, a PhD in Pharmacology from University College London, and completed a Post-Doctoral Fellowship in Clinical Immunology at Johns Hopkins.
