Claudia Harper

Claudia Harper is a seasoned professional in the biopharmaceutical industry, currently serving as Senior Director of the Biopharma Project Toxicology Team at AstraZeneca since May 2025, overseeing critical therapeutic portfolios. With extensive experience in nonclinical development and toxicology, Claudia has held senior leadership roles at Recludix Pharma and Orna Therapeutics, where responsibilities included designing nonclinical strategies and leading IND-enabling studies for innovative therapies. Prior positions include Vice President of Preclinical Development at AVROBIO, Principal Scientist at Biogen, and Preclinical Director at Amgen, alongside founding the Zebrafish Husbandry Association to enhance research standards for zebrafish. Claudia holds a Doctor of Veterinary Medicine from Tufts University and a B.Sc. in Biology from Concordia University, complemented by a Post Doctoral Fellowship at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology.
