Dafni Bika

Dafni Bika serves as the Senior Vice President and Global Head of Pharmaceutical Technology and Development at AstraZeneca since April 2016, leading a team of over 1,200 scientists and engineers in the design, development, and commercialization of new products, ensuring a consistent supply of medicines. Prior to this role, Dafni held various leadership positions at Bristol-Myers Squibb from September 2009 to March 2016, including Vice President of Global Drug Product Manufacturing Science and Technology, where responsibilities included overseeing product performance and manufacturing robustness programs. Dafni's earlier experience at Merck involved directing the late-stage development and commercialization of small molecule products. Academic credentials include a Ph.D. in Materials Science and Engineering from the University of Pennsylvania, alongside a Master’s degree from the University of Rochester and a Diploma in Chemical Engineering from the National Technical University of Athens.
