Dale Payne

Dale Payne is a seasoned professional currently serving as the Director of Policy Evidence and Global Implementation Lead at AstraZeneca since September 2022, where responsibilities include leading global flagship studies and expanding Policy Evidence tools into new markets. Previously, Dale held the position of Senior Manager for National Policy and Partnerships at AstraZeneca, advising on key public policy issues in the life sciences sector. Prior experience includes serving as a Strategic Advisor at the Ontario Ministry of the Solicitor General, focusing on transformation initiatives and strategic communications, and as a Senior Policy Advisor at the Ontario Ministry of Children, Community and Social Services. Dale has a strong background in policy development, having also contributed to the Ontario Ministry of Health and Long-Term Care in implementing OHIP+, a significant pharmacare program. Educational qualifications include a Bachelor of Arts (Honours) in Political Science and a Lean Six Sigma Certificate from the University of Toronto.
