David Greatrex

David Greatrex is the Head of Reusable AI Services at AstraZeneca, where they lead a team of 50 AI engineering specialists to enhance innovation and efficiency across the business. With a strong background in applied AI in biopharmaceuticals, financial systems, and payments, David has a track record of team-of-team leadership and managing AI/ML portfolios. They previously held roles including Data Science Group Lead and Principal Data Scientist at AstraZeneca, and served as the Chair of the Research Review Committee for Reverse Rett. David earned a PhD from Cambridge University, where they specialized in human perceptual decision-making, and continues to augment their expertise with regulated financial exams.
