Emma Wood has over 18 years of experience in human resources and talent acquisition. At AstraZeneca, from January 2017 to July 2023, Emma held various roles, including UK Apprenticeship Vendor Partner, where responsibilities included managing external apprenticeship partners and negotiating contracts. As a Talent Acquisition Partner for Early Talent, Emma focused on recruiting for the Apprenticeship Programmes, partnering with Hiring Managers to implement effective talent acquisition strategies. Additionally, as a Global Recruitment Coordinator, Emma supported the coordination of early talent recruitment processes. Prior experience includes roles at npower as a Recruitment Specialist and HR Officer, where Emma provided comprehensive recruitment and HR services. Early in the career, Emma worked as a Data Entry Clerk at Spring Personnel and an HR Officer at Josiah Wedgwood & Sons Ltd, gaining valuable foundational experience in HR practices. Emma holds GCSE qualifications in subjects including English Language and Literature, Maths, History, RE, Typing Applications, and Science from St Margaret Ward RC High School.
