Gabriel Thabut

Gabriel Thabut is the Medical Director for France at AstraZeneca, having joined the company in June 2018. Prior to this role, Gabriel served as the Director of a respiratory epidemiology team at INSERM and held a position as a Professor of Pneumology at Université Paris 7. Gabriel earned a doctoral degree in epidemiology and biostatistics and has extensive experience in clinical epidemiology, managing large cohorts, and developing prognostic models. They were appointed as an assistant clinic chief in 2000 and became a Professor in 2012 at the Bichat Hospital in Paris. Gabriel completed medical studies at Paris 6 and participated in a post-doctoral fellowship at the Mayo Clinic in Minnesota.
