Hugo Xavier

Hugo Xavier is currently the Global Safety Program Lead in Oncology at AstraZeneca. Previously, they held positions such as Director and Principal Safety Scientist in the same company, as well as roles at leading pharmaceutical organizations, including Eli Lilly and GlaxoSmithKline. Hugo began their career as a Community Pharmacist at Farmácia da Nazaré before advancing to roles in pharmacovigilance and safety sciences, contributing significantly to various projects and data analyses in the field. They have experience as a Scientific Assessor for the European Medicines Agency, where they focused on signal detection and risk management.
