Isabel Soria Bretones

Isabel Soria Bretones currently serves as Associate Director in Precision Medicine Oncology at AstraZeneca, a role held since July 2025. Prior to this, Isabel was with Repare Therapeutics from June 2022 to July 2025, progressing from Principal Scientist in Translational Medicine to Senior Scientist in Cancer Biology. Isabel's earlier experience includes a Postdoctoral Research Fellowship at McGill University, where research focused on drug resistance mechanisms in breast cancer and melanoma, and a Postdoctoral Researcher position at the Princess Margaret Cancer Centre, emphasizing resistance and sensitivity to cell cycle inhibitors. Isabel's academic background includes a PhD in Molecular Genetics and Biomedicine and an MS in Biomedical Research from Universidad de Sevilla, along with a Bachelor's degree in Biochemistry from Universidad de Granada.
