Jarlath Astin

Jarlath Astin has extensive experience in legal counsel, currently serving as Senior Director Global Legal Counsel at AstraZeneca since January 2017, where accountability includes leading legal support for global operations encompassing procurement, manufacturing, and construction, among other areas. Prior to AstraZeneca, Jarlath held roles at Siemens Plc as Lead Lawyer for the Energy Management Division, managing legal teams and negotiating energy contracts, and at Pinsent Masons as a Commercial Lawyer specializing in non-contentious construction. Jarlath began the legal career as a Trainee Solicitor at Nexus Solicitors, focusing on various legal fields. Educationally, Jarlath holds a BA Hons in Modern and Medieval History from the University of Birmingham and has completed legal studies at The College of Law in Chester and Birmingham.
