Julia Thompson OBE

Julia Thompson OBE is an accomplished executive in the biopharmaceutical industry, currently serving as the Executive Director of BioPharmaceuticals R&D at AstraZeneca. They have previously held positions as a Senior Director and Director within AstraZeneca and MedImmune, where they led various teams in R&D and project management. Julia began their career as a Postdoctoral Fellow at New England Biolabs and later contributed to Cambridge Antibody Technology in multiple leadership roles. They earned a PhD in Molecular Biology from The University of Edinburgh and a BSc in Genetics from Newcastle University.
