Mark Benesch

Mark Benesch is currently the Senior Director of Capital Projects Portfolio for AstraZeneca, overseeing a capital portfolio exceeding $1,000MM across various sectors including Oncology and Sustainability. Prior to this role, Mark served as the Capital Planning and Engineering Manager at W. R. Grace & Co., managing a $400MM global capital portfolio. Mark has also held positions at ExxonMobil, NASA Goddard Space Flight Center, and Dalian University of Technology, among others. Mark earned a Bachelor of Science in Chemical Engineering from the University of Maryland Baltimore County and completed programs in Business Administration and Project Management at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.
