Nicolas Guzman

Nicolas Guzman, M.D. is a seasoned expert in nephrology and renal diseases, currently serving as the Global Clinical Program Lead for Lokelma and Senior Director of Nephrology at AstraZeneca since June 2014. Guzman also holds the position of Director for the US CVMD/Renal Medical Group and has been the Global Clinical Lead for CKD/Roxadustat. In addition to corporate roles, Guzman is a Board Member of the ASN Kidney Health Initiative since January 2020 and has been a Clinical Associate Professor at The George Washington University School of Medicine and Health Sciences since August 2000. Formerly, Guzman was an Associate Professor of Medicine at Georgetown University School of Medicine from July 1995 to July 2000. Education includes a Doctor of Medicine degree from Universidad Peruana Cayetano Heredia, completed between 1971 and 1980.
