Nidhal Selmi

Nidhal Selmi has extensive experience in the field of chemistry, primarily with AstraZeneca since October 2004. Currently serving as the Director of Chemistry for DNA-Encoded and Compound Collection Libraries, Nidhal has successfully established the AZ DEL synthesis lab and leads enhancement activities for the AZ screening compound collection. Previous roles include External Collaboration Manager, where management of partnerships with contract research organizations for drug discovery projects was key, and Associate Principal Scientist, focusing on synthetic chemistry in cardiovascular research. Earlier positions involved significant contributions as a Senior Research Scientist and Research Scientist in diabetes and obesity lead optimization. Nidhal began their career at Syngenta as a Sandwich Student in synthetic chemistry. Academic credentials include a Master of Science in Chemistry from CPE Lyon and a preparatory class in Maths, Physics, and Chemistry from Lycée Pierre Corneille.
