Ryan Hartmaier

Ryan Hartmaier has extensive experience in oncology research and translational medicine, having held various roles at AstraZeneca from January 2018 to May 2021, including Senior Director and Director of Translational Medicine. Prior to AstraZeneca, Ryan served as a Senior Scientist at Foundation Medicine from December 2015 to January 2018 and worked as a Research Instructor at the University of Pittsburgh, focusing on somatic changes in breast cancer. Ryan's research background includes a postdoctoral associate position at the University of Pittsburgh Cancer Institute, where the emphasis was on structural genetic changes during breast cancer progression. The academic journey began with a Ph.D. in Translational Biology & Molecular Medicine from Baylor College of Medicine, complemented by a Bachelor's degree in Bioengineering from the University of Washington.
