Shawn Kyzer

Shawn Kyzer is an accomplished data engineering leader with extensive experience across various industries, currently serving as Associate Director of Data Engineering at AstraZeneca. Previously, Shawn held the position of Principal Data Engineer at Thoughtworks, where significant contributions included developing data strategies, implementing Data Mesh architecture, and mentoring teams. Shawn has also worked as a Senior Software Engineer at Skyscanner, Lead Solution Architect at Zurich Insurance, and Principal Big Data Architect at ByteCubed, among other roles. With advanced degrees in Business Administration and Software Engineering, Shawn possesses strong technical expertise in data architecture, machine learning, and Agile methodologies, complemented by a background in philosophy from Swarthmore College.
