Xavier Favory

Xavier Favory is an accomplished professional in the fields of audio and signal processing, currently serving as Associate Director and AI Scientist at AstraZeneca since May 2023. Prior experience includes a role as Data Scientist at Utopia Music from October 2021 to April 2023, focusing on R&D in machine learning and deep learning for audio and music. Xavier's research background encompasses a tenure as a researcher and doctoral student at the Music Technology Group, with participation in the Audio Commons project. Earlier research positions at IRCAM involved developing mobile applications for sound spatialization and statistical transformation of voice. Xavier has also contributed to audio technology optimization at Philips Innovation Lab and AV-Industry, and holds a PhD in Information Technologies from Universitat Pompeu Fabra, alongside a Master's degree in ATIAM from IRCAM and an engineering diploma in Multimedia Electronics from ENSEA.
