Christine L. Childers

Christine L. Childers, PhD, currently serves as a Senior Downstream Scientist at Astrea Bioseparations, where responsibilities include leading projects on plasmid DNA downstream process development and mentoring a junior apprentice. Prior experience includes roles as Team Leader and Senior Downstream Scientist at CPI, focusing on method optimization and scale-up for commercial products, and as a Postdoctoral Researcher at the National Heart, Lung, and Blood Institute, where complex protein and molecular biology strategies were devised. Christine's academic background encompasses a Ph.D. in Biology (Molecular Biology) and a Master’s degree in Biology (Enzymology) from Carleton University, complemented by undergraduate studies at St. Francis Xavier University in Biology and Psychology.
