Michael Chahin, PMP has a diverse work experience in project management and engineering roles. Michael started their career as an intern at Westinghouse Electric Company, where they gained experience in systems and equipment engineering. Later, they interned at Elliott Group, Ebara Corp as an application engineering intern, where they modeled and analyzed compressor performance and prepared proposals for compressors and turbines.

In 2016, Michael joined Shell as a Project Engineer and worked on the construction and detailed design engineering phases of the Pennsylvania Chemicals Project. Michael managed various sub-contracts, supported technical queries/issues from the construction team, and was responsible for schedule, cost, risk, quality, and safety management.

Currently, Michael serves as a Project Manager at Astrobotic, a space robotics company. Michael is responsible for delivering payloads to the Moon for various clients, including companies, governments, and universities. Astrobotic aims to make space accessible to the world.

Throughout their career, Michael has demonstrated strong project management skills, attention to detail, and technical expertise in engineering.

Michael Chahin, PMP has a diverse education and certification background. In 2012, they graduated from Penn State University with a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree in Mechanical Engineering. Following that, in 2019, they obtained the OSHA 10 - Construction certification from the International Association for Continuing Education & Training (IACET). In 2020, Michael acquired the Engineer in Training certification from the Texas Board of Professional Engineers and Land Surveyors, and also obtained the APM Project Management Qualification (PMQ) from the Association for Project Management.

Building on their previous education and certifications, Michael further advanced their education by pursuing a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree at Carnegie Mellon University - Tepper School of Business. Michael started this program in 2022 and is expected to complete it in 2025.

To complement their formal education, Michael has obtained several additional certifications. In 2020, they achieved the Project Management Professional (PMP) certification from the Project Management Institute. In 2021, they obtained the Lean Six Sigma Green Belt certification from GoLeanSixSigma.com and the Professional Scrum Master™ I (PSM I) certification from Scrum.org.
