Propulsion Engineer Iil at Astrobotic Technology

Nicholas Reilly has a diverse work experience in various industries. In 2022, they joined Astrobotic as a Propulsion Engineer II. Prior to that, they worked at Masten Space Systems in 2022, where they held the position of Propulsion Engineering Journey Person. Their responsibilities included designing a helium manifold and flare system for LOX and Liquid Methane rockets, as well as conducting rocket engine testing. Nicholas also gained experience in working with high-pressure cylinders of GOX, GCH4, and Gaseous Methane for NASA Plume program.

Before their time at Masten Space Systems, Nicholas worked at Wm. H. Reilly & Company as a Process & Inside Sales Engineer from 2020 to 2022. In this role, they piloted projects to verify the performance of fluid, biological, and chemical systems for water and wastewater treatment. Nicholas also represented manufacturers for water and wastewater treatment equipment and collaborated with engineers and contractors to develop effective water treatment facilities for municipal plants.

In 2020, Nicholas worked as a Wildland Firefighter at Dust Busters Plus LLC. As part of a twenty-man crew, they focused on preventing the expansion of wildland fires. Nicholas demonstrated strong communication and organizational skills in a high-stress and dangerous environment.

Nicholas Reilly attended Oregon State University from 2017 to 2021, where they pursued a Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering.
