Pablo Valera

Pablo Valera is the founder and CEO of ATA Astrom Technical Advisors S.L., a boutique engineering-EPC management, advisory, and certification company in the renewable energy sector. Pablo started ATA in 2005 to utilize their technical and financial expertise to help financial institutions better understand and invest in renewable energy projects. Prior to founding ATA, Pablo worked as a Project Manager at Abengoa Solar from 2001 to 2005. During their time there, they focused on building small pilot solar photovoltaic projects and then moved into solar R&D and engineering, project development, and construction of PV and CSP projects.

Pablo Valera has a diverse education history. From 2014 to 2016, they pursued a PhD in Electronic and Control Engineering with a focus on Solar Energy at Universidad de Jaén. Prior to that, from 2011 to 2013, they completed a Master of Science (MSc) in Renewable Energy Engineering at Universitat de Barcelona. Going further back, from 1999 to 2001, they obtained a Master of Advanced Studies (MAS or DEA) in Electronic, Electromedicine, and Neuroscience from Universidad de La Laguna. Finally, from 1987 to 1993, they graduated with a Master of Science (MSc) in Biology from Universidad Complutense de Madrid.
