Fatima Khatieb

Fatima Khatieb has extensive work experience in the field of quality management. Fatima has held various roles in different companies, including Astron Energy (Pty) Ltd. where they currently work as a Quality Management Lead since 2019. Prior to that, they worked at Chevron as a Quality Manager and as a Drawing Office Lead - Systems Implementations Engineer. Before their time at Chevron, Fatima worked at ADP Projects as a Drawing Office Planner, and at Hatch Africa as a ProjectWise Administrator. Fatima started their career at Eskom - Peaking Generation, where they served as a Drawing Office & Documentation Management Supervisor, and later as a Draughtsman.

Fatima Khatieb has a diverse education history. Fatima started their academic journey at the Cape Peninsula University of Technology in 2002-2003, where they pursued a degree in Mechanical Engineering. Following this, Fatima enrolled at the College of Cape Town in 1999 for a Multi-Disciplinary Drawing Office Practice course. Fatima then attended Bellville Technical College from 1996 to 1998, specializing in Fitting & Turning, which encompassed Engineering Science, Engineering Drawings, and Trade Theory. In 2017, Fatima returned to Cape Peninsula University of Technology to complete a course in ISO 9001:2015, focusing on Quality Management. Fatima acquired additional certifications such as Communicating in the Language of Leadership, Humble Leadership: The Power of Relationships, Openness, and Trust (getAbstract Summary), and Lessons in Enlightened Leadership from LinkedIn in 2022. Furthermore, Fatima pursued professional development through short courses, obtaining qualifications in Welding & Fabrication from the South African Welding Institute in 2018 and the API Q2 - Quality Management System Requirements for Service Supply Organizations for the Petroleum industry from the American Petroleum Institute in 2022. Fatima's educational journey reflects their commitment to both technical skills and leadership development.
