Derek K. Becker, Esq. has a diverse work experience. Derek K. began their career at the Social Democratic and Labour Party of Northern Ireland as an intern, where they conducted research on immigration policy and public construction. Derek K. then worked as an administrative assistant at Roepsch Law Offices & Thomas F. Roepsch, CPA, where they conducted legal research, drafted legal documents, and attended tax court proceedings. After that, they interned at Birsel Law Offices, where they focused on legal research related to international financial transactions and private international law. Derek then joined Marquette Legal Initiative for Nonprofit Corporations as a legal intern, where they drafted and amended bylaws and articles of incorporation, counseled individuals launching nonprofits, and ensured compliance with corporate and tax regulations. Currently, Derek serves as a Senior Contract Administrator at Astronautics Corporation of America, where they draft and negotiates domestic and international contracts and ensures compliance with export control regulations.

Derek K. Becker, Esq. completed a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) degree in Philosophy and Political Science at the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee from 2006 to 2010. Following this, Derek pursued their legal education at Marquette University Law School, where they obtained a Doctor of Law (J.D.) degree from 2011 to 2014. During their time at Marquette University Law School, Derek also had the opportunity to study at Koç University in 2012 and the University of Copenhagen in 2013. In 2014, Derek obtained additional certifications including a Notary Public license from the Wisconsin Department of Financial Institutions and a License to Practice Law from the State Bar of Wisconsin.
