Process Engineering Manager at Astronautics

Gerald Richards has a diverse background in process engineering and manufacturing. Gerald has experience with Astronautics Corporation of America, where they held multiple roles including Process Engineering Manager, Senior PCBA Process Engineer, and PCBA Process Engineer. In these roles, they worked on a Class III PCBA production line, reviewed and approved engineering change orders, and evaluated PCB designs. Gerald also worked as a Process Engineer at Plymouth Tube Company, where they were responsible for process improvement. Additionally, they worked as a PCBA Manufacturing Engineer at Astronautics Corporation of America, focusing on process development and improvement. Prior to that, Gerald gained experience as a Process Engineering Intern at W/S Machine & Tool, Inc., where they supervised 2nd shift operations and developed deburring and sandblasting processes. Gerald Richards has a diverse education history with a strong background in engineering and physics. Gerald began their education in 2010 at the Milwaukee School of Engineering, where they pursued a Bachelor of Engineering (BEng) degree in Mechanical Engineering. After completing two years at the Milwaukee School of Engineering, Gerald transferred to the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee in 2012. There, they continued their studies in the field of physics and earned a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree.

Gerald's academic journey took another turn in 2014 when they returned to the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee to pursue a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree, this time in Mechanical Engineering. Gerald successfully completed this program in 2016.

In addition to their academic achievements, Gerald has also obtained various certifications. In 2016, they became Six Sigma Yellow Belt Certified (SSYBC) and Lean Six Sigma White Belt Certified through the Management and Strategy Institute. Furthermore, in 2020, Gerald obtained the IPC J-STD-001 Certification and the IPC-A-610 Acceptability of Electronics Assemblies Certification from IPC.
