Jake Miller

Process Engineer at Astronautics

Jake Miller began their work experience in 2011 at Wales Lawn and Garden, where they worked in customer service and day-to-day operations. Jake organized and maintained a nursery, stocked the store, and wrote repair orders for various machines. In 2016, they interned at T-Lon Products, Inc., where they performed time studies, calculated material usage, and maintained a hydraulic test stand. Finally, in 2017, they joined Astronautics Corporation of America as a process engineer and later became an intern. In this role, they contributed to manufacturing processes, including designing production floor layouts, creating tools for assembly processes, and developing operation flows for new products.

Jake Miller attended Marquette University from 2014 to 2018, where they studied Mechanical Engineering. Jake obtained a Lean Six Sigma Green Belt certification from WMEP Manufacturing Solutions in January 2022. Additionally, they have additional certifications in IPC-A-610 Acceptability of Electronics Assemblies and IPC/WHMA-A-620 Requirements & Acceptance for Cable & Wire Harness Assemblies from IPC, although the specific dates of obtaining these certifications are not provided.
